For solo vibe-coders

Paste the broken code. Get a fix you understand.

The AI wrote it, now it's throwing errors and you're not sure why. Code Buddy reads your snippet, explains the problem in plain English and hands back corrected code.

code-buddy explain

The loop condition should use '<' instead of '<=' to avoid accessing an undefined index, which causes NaN.

// how it works

How a fix works

  1. 01  $ paste

    Paste

Drop in a function or a file, up to 20,000 characters. Add a line about what's going wrong if you know.

  2. 02  $ run

    Run

Code Buddy sends it to our AI provider's model with instructions to find the bug and keep your style.

  3. 03  $ check

    Check

Read the explanation, compare the corrected code with yours and copy it back into your project.

When the bug isn't in the file the error points to

Stack traces often end in the wrong place. Pro's multi-file mode takes the error log and up to 10 related files, traces the cause across them and gives you a diff for each file that needs to change.

  • Every Pro run saved to your history, grouped by project
  • Read-only share links, with or without the code, revocable any time
  • Up to 100 runs a day

What happens to your code

To produce a fix, your code and note are sent to our AI provider. On Free, Code Buddy doesn't store them. On Pro, each run is saved to your private history so you can come back to it, and it stays there until you delete it.

Nobody else sees a run unless you create a share link, and you choose whether that link includes code. Please don't paste passwords, API keys or customer data. Read the privacy policy.

Questions people ask

What is Code Buddy?

Code Buddy is a web tool that debugs and tidies code for you. Paste a snippet, add a note about what's going wrong if you like, and press Run. You get a short explanation of the problem, a corrected version of the code and a few tips.

Do I need an account or my own API key?

No. Free runs work straight away in the browser with no sign-up and no API key. You only sign in if you pay for Pro, using a one-time link sent to the email you paid with.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free gives you 5 single-file runs a day per network and nothing is saved. Pro is A$15 a month and adds up to 100 runs a day, multi-file root cause (paste an error log and up to 10 files, get a diff per file), saved projects and fix history, and read-only share links you can revoke. Pro works on any device once you sign in.

Which languages does it handle?

Anything you can paste as text. JavaScript, TypeScript, Python and other common languages work well. Each Free run handles one snippet of up to 20,000 characters.

What happens to the code I paste?

Your code is sent to our AI provider to generate the explanation and fix. Free runs are not stored by Code Buddy. Pro runs are saved to your private history until you delete them, and nobody else can see a run unless you create a share link. Don't paste passwords, keys or other secrets.

How do I cancel Pro?

Email hello@myevent-labs.io from the address you subscribed with and we'll cancel it. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
